Abstract

Edwin Cressman D.O. graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathy in 1926 when the college was located at 19th and Spring Garden St., and taught dermatology at PCOM from the mid-1930s until 1976. In this interview, Dr. Cressman discusses discrimination against PCO students from other Philadelphia medical school students, treating patients with diptheria and other infectious diseases, the position of female and African-American medical students at PCO and within the osteopathic profession.
