Abstract
Kindergarten represents a significant change in a child’s life. Social-emotional readiness, preschool learning, and interactions with peers and family members are some of the elements that can be assessed at this visit. Understanding a child’s educational and social strengths and vulnerabilities can assist both caregivers and pediatric clinicians in planning for school entry.
