Abstract
A classical narcotic analgetic testing procedure, the thermal-induced rat tail-flick, has been adapted for utilization in cats. The feline tail-flick method is simple to perform and is a sensitive, specific, and reproducible test for evaluation of narcotic analgetic activity. It is readily applicable to chronic investigations in this species. © 1979.
