Abstract
In this work, Fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering is used to cluster brain MRI images into regions. The MRI images are from patients who have brain tumor. Experiments show that the FCM-based algorithm of brain-MRI image segmentation yields very good results. Segmented image can help physicians to identify tumor tissue in brain, and monitor effectiveness of chemotherapy treatment.
