Abstract

After graduating from PCO and working as a pathologist in New Jersey and New York City, Ruth Waddel Cathie D.O., 1938 joined the College's faculty in 1954 and became Chair of Pathology from 1963-1971. In this interview, Cathie discusses her experience as a female student at the College and the discrimination experienced by female students from faculty and male students, changing professional and patient attitudes towards female doctors and osteopaths, and the history of the Department of Pathology.
