Abstract
Thyroid cancer, with an estimated 64,300 new cases and 1980 deaths in 2016, is the most common endocrine malignancy in the United States. Even though thyroid cancer is associated with high overall survival, inadequate preoperative imaging can contribute to incomplete initial surgery and subsequent recurrence.
