The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine trains students to care for their patients in the context of the whole person, and to be aware of environmental, psychological, and societal determinants of health. An integrated curriculum of basic and clinical sciences is enhanced by simulation-based and experiential learning opportunities, including placements in PCOM's healthcare centers located in underserved communities in Philadelphia, rural Pennsylvania, and Georgia. Faculty and instructors in the DO program are practicing clinicians and scientists with diverse research interests, who value individual relationships with their students and seek out opportunities to bring new perspectives and teaching tools to the classroom.
