Abstract

Fairman L. Denlinger DO, 1953 attended PCOM after serving in the U.S. Army as a Medical Corpsman during World War 2. After graduating in a class that was almost entirely ex-servicemen, Denlinger worked as an obstetrician and pediatrician in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania before returning to PCOM as a faculty member and became the first full-time chairman of the OB/GYN program. In the interview, Denlinger discusses attending PCOM under the G.I. Bill, the development of OB/GYN as an osteopathic specialty and as a clinical program at PCOM.
